The Pricing & Deals team sits within Yahoo's DSP Finance team, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Product to structure the incentives, rate cards, and deal economics that keep Yahoo DSP competitive while protecting margin. We provide the deal desk expertise, pricing rigor, and analytical partnership needed to help the business scale efficiently, from evaluating custom pricing requests to monitoring margin health across the DSP portfolio.
Position Overview
Yahoo is seeking a Price Yield Manager to join the DSP Finance team's Pricing & Deals group. In this highly visible role, you will own deal desk incentive evaluation, credit and make‑good negotiations, and DSP margin analysis, while partnering closely with Sales leadership to structure deals that protect Yahoo's financial health.
This role combines deal economics, business partnership, and ongoing margin monitoring. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently, enjoys solving complex pricing problems, and can translate deal and margin data into actionable recommendations for Sales and Finance leadership. We're looking for someone who embraces modern ways of working and is excited to leverage AI‑enabled tools and automation to improve efficiency and scale impact.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and structure short‑term incentive requests and make‑good/credit negotiations, while partnering directly with Sales to meet client needs while protecting Yahoo's margin.
- Support economic analysis and modeling for advertiser and agency endeavor deals, projecting revenue, RNOT, and margin impact.
- Conduct DSP margin and profitability analysis, surfacing trends (e.g., data monetization shifts, channel mix changes) that affect operational margin.
- Deliver monthly RNOT readouts and variance commentary to VP-level FP&A stakeholders.
- Leverage AI‑enabled tools and automation to streamline deal modeling, reporting, and margin analysis.
- Maintain and support ad hoc coverage of data pricing and deal desk requests across regions as needed.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Legal, Revenue Controllership, and Client Services on contract terms, credit approvals, and margin initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in pricing, yield management, revenue operations, or a related analytical/finance role, ideally in digital advertising or programmatic media.
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills; comfortable building, maintaining, and defending complex deal economics under time pressure.
- Proven ability to work independently and lead conversations directly with senior Sales stakeholders.
- Track record of driving measurable outcomes in negotiations, with the ability to speak to the specific dollar impact of past work.
- Experience leveraging modern analytics, automation, or AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency in reporting or analysis.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and competing priorities across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior (VP‑level) stakeholders.
- Familiarity with programmatic/DSP advertising concepts (PMP, tech fees, data fees, RNOT) is strongly preferred.
Why This Role Matters
