Guest Room Attendant – Job Overview

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Guest Room Attendant for the JW Marriott Reston Station. Experience a new level of luxury at JW Marriott Reston Station, a stunning 28‑story landmark that overlooks Reston Row, a lively urban hub filled with top‑notch dining and entertainment options. The hotel features 248 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area.

With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia—35,000 sq ft—it includes two ballrooms with 20‑foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor‑to‑ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. The property is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, providing travelers exceptional access to the capital region and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents, extending arms over head and bending and stooping as needed.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for the room.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Represent JW Marriott’s brand identity, values, and pillars.
Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self‑starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to "pitch‑in" and help co‑workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
  • Problem‑solving personality.
  • Friendly disposition with a passion for hospitality.
  • Team player who strives to support others and likes to win as a team.
  • Previous Marriott experience preferred.
