Position SummaryHousepersons are essential to maintaining the pristine condition and organization of the hotel. They ensure all public areas—lobbies, corridors, and restrooms—are well‑kept and meet high cleanliness standards, promptly fulfill guest requests for linens and amenities, and support housekeeping operations for smooth service delivery.
Essential Functions- Remove soiled linen and trash from room/suite attendant carts.
- Transport soiled linen to the laundry and trash dumpster.
- Deliver cribs, rollaway, and related items to guestrooms/suites as requested by supervisor and/or guest; return them to proper storage after use.
- Move furniture as needed, including setting up tables and chairs in meeting rooms for guest functions.
- Move delivered inventory to correct locations such as storage rooms and suites.
- Keep public areas neat; remove trash, mop floors, and clean carpets as necessary.
- Clean light fixtures, ceiling fans, windows, and glass doors as assigned.
- Flip mattresses as necessary.
- Hang curtains and drapes and assist in the removal of bedspreads, blankets, and curtains.
- Adhere to all hotel work rules, procedures, and policies, including those in the employee handbook.
- Work flexible hours; the hotel operates 24/7, so schedules may require shifts outside preferred or usual times.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull in excess of 25 pounds.
