Job Responsibilities- Responsible for overall data science and data characterization technologies and will report to the on-site program manager.
- Assess technology development and evaluate its operational usefulness and eventually demonstrate the technology capability through test and evaluation.
- Results must be documented in writing and communicated both verbally and through multimedia methods to senior management.
- Knowledge of Defense intelligence all-source analysis, operations research / systems engineering and analysis, Intelligence Community databases and tools, non-Defense intelligence analysis, structured analytic techniques, and text exploitation and analytics.
- Expertise in advanced tools such as: R software with extensive modules (statistics, modeling, visualization);
Text Analytics (IN-SPIRE, Jigsaw, Text/Data - Net Owl, Gate); and Mathematical Modeling (MATLAB). - Working knowledge of day-to-day data analysis tools:
Excel/Power plugins, Tableau, Word, MS Publisher, and document development. - Understanding and experience with visual and geospatial analysis is an added benefit:
Geospatial Analysis - Open Geo, ArcGIS, Geo Time, Clavin;
Visual Analytics - Vortek (Starlight);
Visualization - Gephi;
Word cloud tools;
Graphics Production - PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, HTML
5. - 5-10 years of experience or an advanced degree (MS / Ph.D.).
- Three years of experience in the intelligence community.
- TS/SCI with FSP clearance.
