Project Coordinator - Data Center Operations

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator with a strong background in data center operations to support the planning and execution of data center decommissioning projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who has hands‑on technical experience and is transitioning into project coordination, bringing both operational insight and growing project management capability.

• Support management in planning, executing, and closing data center projects (hardware decommissions, migrations, disposal, and infrastructure-related activities)
• Create and maintain project schedules, task trackers, and status reports
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, vendors, and facilities
• Track project milestones and proactively identify risks or delays

• Leverage data center operations experience to ensure projects align with operational standards and procedures
• Assist in planning maintenance windows and coordinating change management activities
• Ensure compliance with data center policies, safety standards, and uptime requirements

• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and follow up on deliverables
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Maintain accurate documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and project artifacts
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment delivery, installations, and services
• Track inventory and ensure required materials are available for project activities
• Assist in managing resource allocation and scheduling
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and documentation
• Support lessons‑learned reviews and implement improvements for future projects

• 2–5 years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in project coordination or project support
• Strong understanding of:
• Data center environments (rack/stack, cabling, power/cooling basics)
• Change management and incident management processes
• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Excel, Service Now, Jira, or MS Project
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience supporting data center migrations or decommissioning projects
• Familiarity with ITIL practices or project management methodologies
• Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments
