Requirements
- We require an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph.
- We require U.S. citizenship, and some roles may also be subject to U.S. export control or U.S. person requirements.
- We are seeking someone with at least 6 years of experience plus a bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, computer science, statistics, geography, GIS, operations research, engineering, science, or another technical discipline; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
- We need a candidate who can obtain or already holds CompTIA Security+ certification.
- We need strong programming ability to extract, transform, and cleanse very large multi-terabyte databases.
- We need experience working with vector, raster, and 3D datasets, along with data visualizations from both traditional and non-traditional sources, including GIS data.
- We require experience performing QA/QC on datasets.
- We are looking for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision and apply sound technical judgment.
- We value strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- We need the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, concisely, and in a logical sequence that leads to well-supported conclusions.
- We require experience in web development and database administration on IC systems.
- We require experience administering Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, C#, C++, XML, HTML, and SQL.
- Preferred qualifications include proficiency with statistical tools such as SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, or R.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Sketch Up, Terra builder, SKYLINE Global Server, SKYLINE Software Suite Terra Explorer C2MP, and ESRI Arc Pro 3.x or higher.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with MIDB/MARS or other foundational military intelligence databases.
- Preferred qualifications include prior system engineering and system administration experience.
- Preferred qualifications include possession of, or prior possession of, a PUA certification on an IC system.
- We work full time onsite in Reston, VA.
- We provide database and systems engineering and administration support for a GIS Portal application with both desktop and web-delivered components for 2D and 3D data and related metadata.
- We gather requirements on site with government customers and carry out approved software changes as needed.
- We deliver full lifecycle support for COTS software, including add-ons, upgrades, enhancements, updates, and security patches.
- We establish and maintain backup processes, manage system performance, and tune databases to improve speed, uptime, and user experience.
- We create database views and provide portal data to customers for ingestion into their own systems.
- We ensure products and services are optimized and sustained for their intended operational use.
- We assist with the creation, installation, and operation of the GIS database and its integration with other network analysis tools across three supporting networks.
- We perform image-processing tasks in preparation for modeling, including ortho-rectification, histogram matching and optimization, and image sharpening.
- We incorporate intelligence data into site models and simulations, including terrain analysis, GIS analysis, database querying, and data overlay to produce finished outputs.
- We obtain input image datasets and prepare them for modeling through the appropriate imaging workflow.
- We handle server administration and accreditation duties, including cloud migration of data and interfaces, to expand server capability across the networks where the portal operates.
- We complete data science and data engineering tasks and document our work through written reports.
- We support ETL activities for upgrades and technology transitions when required.

This is a full‑time onsite role in Reston, Virginia, with a starting base salary range of $137,000 to $228,000 annually in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
