Team Overview

In this role, you will report to a Director of Dev Ops and lead the strategy, design, and delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud native infrastructure. You will oversee Dev Ops initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring high performance development workflows, modern automation practices, and cloud excellence with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD optimization, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

* Drive the architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS or GCP.

* Lead the design, deployment, and management of large‑scale Kubernetes clusters, supporting high‑volume workloads (tens of thousands of TPS) with 99.999% reliability.

* Set the Dev Ops strategy, standards, and best practices across teams, promoting automation, performance, and operational maturity.

* Build and optimize end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines enabling automated testing, security validation, and flawless deployments.

* Establish and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform or Cloud Formation.

* Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud Watch).

* Lead operational reviews, incident analysis, and resilience strategies for mission‑critical services.

* Manage and mentor Dev Ops engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence.

* Collaborate closely with software engineering, architecture, and product teams to integrate Dev Ops best practices into the SDLC.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

* 3+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.

* 8+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Architecture, Site Reliability Engineering, or related fields.

* Deep, hands‑on expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

* Proven experience running production‑grade Kubernetes environments at scale.

* Strong proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

* Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, containerization, and cloud automation.
