Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI for a mission-driven organization operating within the national security and advanced technology industry in the Reston, VA area. The Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI role is a hybrid role supporting secure environments and complex systems. The Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure while contributing hands-on to full stack application development across classified programs.
An ideal candidate brings a strong Dev Ops foundation combined with full stack development expertise and experience working in cleared environments. Responsibilities of the Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support secure application development and deployment.
• Build and manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Develop and maintain full stack applications using modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in high-security environments.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, and system architects to ensure reliable and compliant deployments.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
• Implement Dev Sec Ops best practices, integrating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
• Automate operational tasks and improve system scalability, resiliency, and efficiency. Qualifications of the Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI:
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 7+ years of experience in full stack engineering, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong full stack development experience with technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript/Type Script, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in secure or regulated environments.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security best practices. Compensation for the Sr. Dev Ops Engineer - TS/SCI includes:
• Salary range: $190,000 - $250,000
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law
