Overview
Acuity, Inc. has an opening for an End User Technology Specialist - SME (EUT Specialist- SME) to support endpoint management services for a highly regulated federal financial environment. The role provides senior technical leadership for secure, reliable lifecycle operations across Windows endpoints, virtual endpoints, and mobile assets, with a strong focus on Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
The SME leads endpoint provisioning, configuration baselines, compliance policies, patching, vulnerability remediation, application delivery, security integration, and automation. Working with security, infrastructure, service desk, vendor, and government stakeholders, the SME resolves complex endpoint issues, improves operational consistency, maintains audit-ready documentation, and mentors technical staff.
Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle endpoint operations for laptops, desktops, virtual endpoints, and mobile devices, including provisioning, configuration, deployment, maintenance, decommissioning, and preproduction validation.
- Serve as the technical SME for Microsoft Intune in Windows environments, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, application delivery, Autopilot onboarding, and Defender for Endpoint integration.
- Establish andmaintainendpoint configuration baselines, security controls, compliance policies, patching processes, vulnerability remediation plans, and closure reporting.
- Oversee enterprise application packaging, deployment, maintenance, and endpoint automation using Power Shell and standardized delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot complex endpoint issues, including Autopilot enrollment failures, policy conflicts, application packaging defects, compliance anomalies, and escalated incidents.
- Coordinate with security, infrastructure, service desk, vendor, and government teams to resolve issues, prevent recurrence, and improve service performance.
- Develop and maintain
SOPs, architecture artifacts, operational documentation, and reporting to support FISMA, audit readiness, SLA tracking, and lifecycle visibility. - Mentor endpoint engineers and support personnel to improve technical quality, consistency, and operational performance.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in endpoint management.
- Deepexpertisewith Microsoft Intune for Windows endpoint environments, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application deployment.
- Strong experience with Windows lifecycle management, endpoint provisioning, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint, patching, vulnerability remediation, and security integration.
- Proficiency with Power Shell scripting, automation, application packaging, and endpoint delivery solutions.
- Experience supporting endpoint operations in regulated, security-sensitive, or federal enterprise environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex endpoint issues across enrollment, policy, application, compliance, security, and operational domains.
- Experience developing SOPs, technical documentation, architecture artifacts, audit-ready records, and operational reporting.
- Ability to mentor technical staff and coordinate effectively across security, infrastructure, service desk, vendor, and government teams.
Clearance Requirement:
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance.
