DevOps Engineer

Position Summary

The Dev Ops Engineer 5 designs and implements automated technical solutions across multiple classification environments, with a strong focus on Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure as code, cloud architecture, troubleshooting, STIG compliance, and secure software delivery. This role provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, and supports development teams in meeting security and ATO objectives.

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and implement automated technical solutions across multiple classification environments, working independently or as part of a team to address complex technical requirements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines from scratch in Git Lab CI and Jenkins with integrated security scanning and STIG compliance validation.
• Provide expert guidance to development teams on pipeline troubleshooting and Dev Sec Ops  best practices.
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code templates, primarily using Cloud Formation, to architect highly available, resilient, and secure Dev Sec Ops  tool infrastructure across AWS environments, including Gov Cloud, C2S, and TC2S.
• Ensure STIG compliance and guide junior engineers on infrastructure as code best practices.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts by analyzing system and application logs using Linux command-line tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex issues and develop mitigation strategies for service degradation.
• Provide expert security guidance to development teams on secure coding practices, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and other best practices in support of ATO efforts.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain technical documentation, promote best practices, and foster continuous team improvement.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• 10+ years of experience as a Dev Sec Ops  Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation, scalability, and reliability across the software development lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Expert experience with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Artifactory, Sonar Qube, and Prisma Cloud.
• Expert experience delivering Dev Sec Ops  services across multiple classified domains.
• Expert understanding of AWS capabilities, including EC2, S3, IAM, and RDS, and architecting secure cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash in a Linux environment, including RHEL, Oracle Linux, or similar.
• Minimum IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or SSCP.
