Data Scientist

As Data Scientist, you’ll work as part of an agile scrum team toward the development and delivery of a new modernized IT product. You will apply methods and tools to inform management's data-driven decision‑making in support of system features, illumination of user behaviors, and delivery system performance metrics.

What you’ll do:

• You will work as part of an agile scrum team in order to support the delivery of a modernized IT system. Collaborating with project managers, technical leads, developers, Business Analysts, and UX specialists
• You will apply data science methods to develop new features, track user behavior, and monitor performance metrics.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• You have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability
• You have experience performing as a data analyst or data scientist in support of the development of a new modernized IT system
• You have experience applying data mining techniques to synthesize and analyze structured and unstructured data
• You have experience building high quality prediction systems integrated with products.
• You have applied machine learning techniques to automate scoring
• You have applied data models to provide insights to clients and product owners and build recommendation systems
• You have the ability to develop and apply organization‑wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and data warehouses
• You have experience using tools including databricks, open‑source large language models, ChatGPT, and Google Analytics in order to inform design decisions for systems
