Summary

Agile Defense is seeking a highly technical Program Manager to lead an enterprise cybersecurity program delivering and developing 24/7 Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) services for a variety of federal customers. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate leadership capabilities. Skills and experience in Program Management, Cyber Operations (IR, Hunt, Threat Intel), Security Engineering and modernization are required.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience supporting a 24x7x365 CSOC environment as an analyst or engineer, experience as a technical team leader within the SOC, and program management experience. These positions provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and deep technical expertise across key mission areas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze highly complex cybersecurity issues, recommend plans of action for Contractor and Government staff, and manage Contractor teams supporting resolution of these issues.
  • Serve as the Contractor’s primary contact for USG Government personnel.
  • Perform corporate duties such as solution/proposal development, corporate culture development, mentoring employees, supporting recruiting efforts, and serving as liaison with various customers (internal and external).
  • Operate in hybrid mode with scheduled remote and onsite requirements at approved customer locations when directed.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all CSOC activities through reviewing of metrics and case analysis.
  • Lead planning, organization, scheduling, and progress reporting of various projects.
  • Construct and optimize operational workflows for various functional teams across multiple shifts.
  • Develop, collect, analyze security operational metrics to optimize CSOC performance and minimize organizational risk.
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and design new security technologies and support infrastructure.
  • Develop technical cybersecurity solutions in response to customer requests or in support of proposal solution development.
  • Provide technical writing support in support of corporate response to RFPs/RFQs from various customers.
  • Support new Agile Defense engagements as transitional program or operations lead.
  • Support documentation of all business and workflow processes in this area.
  • Provide technical consultation for cyber security capability development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant cyber security and related technologies.
  • Serve as a technical Cyber SME, onsite task lead, and primary point of contact for customer.
  • Maintain a 24x7 shift schedule and minimum‑manning requirements.
Qualifications
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • ISC² Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) certification in good standing.
  • Seven (7) years of direct project and program management lead cybersecurity programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, STEM, information technology, or cybersecurity.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience with a solid understanding of incident response, insider threat investigations, digital forensics, and cyber threats.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking activities within various Security Operations workflows.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows, OS X, Linux, etc.), Windows Active Directory, network communications and routing protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, BGP, MPLS, etc.), and common internet applications and standards (SMTP, DNS, DHCP, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust and Information Assurance.
  • Progress experience in leading a Cybersecurity Program that includes Cyber Operations, Security Engineering and Information Assurance.
  • Experience with the identification and implementation of counter‑measures or mitigating controls for deployment and implementation in the enterprise network environment.
  • Ability to act as a subject‑matter expert on related tasks and/or programs.

$170,000 - $225,000 a year
