Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team responsible for building, managing, maintaining, and scaling operational infrastructure on which our mission-critical services are deployed or depend. Responsibilities:

Deploying, administrating, and supporting VMware, Networker, and

Skills required:

• Experience working in a UNIX environment (RHEL and AIX)
• Experience using VMWare in a production environment
• Proficiency with UNIX utilities and scripting (Perl, Python, shell, Expect)
• Deploy monitoring tools, alerts, and has good knowledge of best practices
• Experience using Openstack in a production environment
• Proficient with Anisble for monthly OS Patching

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience with Production Systems and System Operations
• Experience automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Ansible, terraform, Chef, Puppet
• Knows their way around a Unix/Linux shell and can write shell scripts
• Should be able to code and debug Python scripts
• Experience debugging complex problems
• Experience with monitoring and observability such as Nagios
• Has hands-on experience using source control (Git, Git Hub) and feature branching strategies
• Has experience with a variety of open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres)

Preferred:

• Has experience with backup infrastructure (Dell/EMC Networker, Veritas Netbackup)
• Has experience with Fibre Channel networking (SAN)
• Has experience with VMware vSphere virtualization
