About the role

At ICF Next Government, we collaborate with federal clients to enhance digital services using a human-centered design approach. We are looking for a UX Designer to aid in the design and development of federal websites and digital products within cross-functional teams. This position is ideal for a UX expert who can assist in delivering UX/UI solutions in Agile, Dev Sec Ops  environments and facilitate the transition of outdated systems into modern, scalable platforms.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design user experiences for federal digital services.
  • Contribute to the evolution of digital products by applying user-centered design principles.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and Dev Sec Ops  practices to ensure timely delivery of design solutions.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that meet user needs and project requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Dev Sec Ops  methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or TS clearance.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Nice to have
  • Experience with federal government projects or clients.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Practical notes
