Job Description RoleFannie Mae’s Technology Program Intern is a 10-week, paid internship (June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027) where interns contribute to software engineering, Dev Ops, data engineering, or technology infrastructure teams. Interns work on real projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and are exposed to emerging technologies including AI.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to design, development, testing, and implementation of software and technology solutions.
- Support production applications: troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrades.
- Implement and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
- Build data pipelines, manage data platforms, monitor production logs, and triage issues.
- Apply AI and prompt-engineering techniques to improve processes and productivity.
- Write and maintain tests, create architecture diagrams, and support service desks and documentation.
- Databases and data tools: SQL, Postgres, Oracle, Redshift, RDS, Kinesis, Dremio, Tableau, Spark, SAS, Domino Data Lab
- Cloud and infrastructure: AWS (developer tools), Azure, Google Cloud, Git Lab, Terraform, CI/CD tools
- Testing and automation:
Selenium, Cucumber - Monitoring and security:
Splunk, Cloud Watch, Voltage (data encryption), Active Directory / Entra (Azure AD) - Collaboration and endpoint management:
Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Service Now - AI and ML related:

Minimum
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Information Technology degree program
- Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and responsible use of emerging technologies
Preferred
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s with expected graduation by Spring 2028
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS), databases, test-driven development, and AI tools
- Strong communication, leadership potential, self-starter attitude, and teamwork skills
- Pay: $41.50 per hour (set hourly rate)
