Vantor is seeking an RF SIGINT Technical Analyst to join our Defense & Aerospace Data Science & AI team. In this role, you will analyze RF signals and SIGINT data, apply advanced analytics and AI/ML techniques, and transform complex datasets into actionable intelligence for mission-critical programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers and data scientists to design, test, and optimize analytical models and signal processing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex RF SIGINT data sets to extract actionable intelligence insights for Defense & Aerospace missions.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate signal processing and AI/ML algorithms for RF emitter detection, classification, and characterization.
  • Perform end-to-end data workflows, including ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment support.
  • Work with I/Q data, time- and frequency-domain representations, and complex RF waveforms to build robust analytics pipelines.
  • Apply digital signal processing techniques such as filtering, spectral analysis, modulation recognition, and geolocation/direction finding.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and mission domain experts to translate mission questions into tractable analytical problems.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, test data sets, and evaluation frameworks for algorithm accuracy, robustness, and latency.
  • Document methods and results in clear technical reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government customers.
  • Support integration of prototype analytics into production environments in coordination with software and systems engineering teams.
  • Contribute to internal R&D, exploring new AI/ML and RF signal processing approaches, and help mentor junior analysts in best practices.

Required Skills

  • RF theory and radio communications fundamentals
  • Digital signal processing (DSP) for RF signals
  • RF SIGINT data analysis and interpretation
  • Python programming for data analysis and MLMATLAB or similar scientific computing tools
  • Machine learning and AI techniques for signal analytics
  • Time- and frequency-domain analysis, I/Q data handling
  • Spectral analysis and filtering methods
  • Modulation recognition and signal classification
  • Statistical analysis and data modeling
  • Working with large, noisy, real-world sensor data sets
  • Algorithm development, testing, and optimization
  • Version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development
  • Technical writing and analytic reporting
  • Presentation and communication of complex technical concepts
  • Familiarity with Defense & Aerospace/Do
  • D/IC SIGINT environments
  • Basic understanding of secure computing and data handling practices
