Define, design, and develop system requirements for cloud platform solutions on AWS.
Perform trade-off analysis of performance, lifecycle cost, risk, and producibility to optimize system architecture.
Assess hardware limitations, define system specifications, and evaluate input/output processes for hardware/software compatibility.
Coordinate the design of subsystems and the integration of the total system.
Implement and maintain AWS cloud services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, Cloud Watch, and EKS.
Develop automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python to provision infrastructure policies as code.
Support system troubleshooting, upgrades, and system tuning to ensure high availability and performance.
Mentor junior and senior team members to foster technical growth and knowledge transfer.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
Engage in system security practices including implementing AWS security guardrails and best practices.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in AWS Cloud Platform engineering and administration.
8+ years proven success overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloud Formation, and Cloud Watch.
Extensive experience in automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, and CDK.
Demonstrated expertise in scripting with Python and shell scripting in Linux environments.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS).
A minimum of one AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Dev Ops Engineer) required.
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, service mesh, and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide innovative solutions.
