- Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to cloud engineers, review their work, and help solve complex technical challenges
- Translate stakeholder technical requirements into actionable solutions and resolve issues
- Provide requirement decomposition/definition and engineering expertise to assure program requirements are developed and sustained
- Prepare operating instructions and end user training
- Develop and implement cloud governance strategies compliant with relevant standards and regulations
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud engineering best practices and contribute to the technical community
- Participate in risk management assessments and architecture
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Poly
- 10+ years of relevant IT, systems or infrastructure experience, including 5+ years of hands‑on AWS cloud engineering experience
- Experience designing, building, supporting and troubleshooting AWS cloud infrastructure in classified government environments
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and Cloud Formation
- Experience supporting AWS Gov Cloud and/or other classified AWS environments
- Strong infrastructure‑as‑code experience using Terraform, Cloud Formation or Ansible
- Experience implementing cloud security controls, including IAM, SSO, federation, security baselines and account‑auditing policies
- Experience securing and hardening Linux or Windows cloud systems in accordance with applicable security and RMF requirements
- Scripting and automation experience using Python, Power Shell, Bash or a similar language
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex cloud environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
Demonstrates extensive expertise in architecting and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions, with a strong focus on AWS services and cloud security compliance. Proven ability to mentor teams, automate processes, and translate technical requirements into actionable strategies.
