We are actively hiring an Expert Portuguese (European) Instructor to join our team working in Reston, VA. The role involves supporting a government agency and the office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
Must have 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years. Testing Requirements:
Translation Assessment: 3;
Speaking, Listening, Reading: 5/5/5.
- Work 40 hours a week, spending approximately 20 hours teaching and 20 hours lesson development, student assessment, and testing.
- Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
- Complete sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing to become certified according to Sponsor standards.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or Language preferred.
- Experience in Language Instruction/Facilitation.
- Experience in Language Testing.
- Experience in Course Design.
- Experience in Content Management.
- Experience in Editing and Quality Control of language products.
- Experience summarizing/gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise.
- Experience writing reports.
- Experience with selection in various media.
