Private Equity Resource Attorney

A law firm seeks a Private Equity Resource Attorney in Reston, VA. This role supports the Private Equity practice group by enhancing efficiency and knowledge management, without direct client billing responsibilities.

• Manage M&A/PE data and experience input with the knowledge management team.
• Draft and manage template documents and precedents for the PE group.
• Monitor legal developments and prepare summaries and alerts.
• Develop and maintain the internal practice page for the PE group.
• Coordinate with the legal education team for training content.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on PE promotion and content creation.
• Work with the quantitative analyst group on PE-specific matters.
• Assist with attorney requests for precedents and templates.
• Participate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.

• Licensed attorney with 7+ years in US PE corporate/transactional practice.
• Familiarity with private equity, M&A, and related regulatory issues.
• Experience with partnership-based equity compensation and tax issues.
• Knowledge of M&A acquisition financing and financial transactions.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

• Active bar membership in good standing.

• Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident presenter with strong interpersonal skills.
