Inventory Control & Analysis
Overview
The Materials area is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures and material control systems activities related to material control and inventory control functions. It ensures materials are ordered and in stock while maintaining acceptable inventory levels, develops material schedules, and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
Responsibilities- Monitors and reviews Remedy notifications sent to the Logistics Outlook Inbox.
- Works to complete limited scope projects within budget and scheduling constraints.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored in the appropriate databases.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects.
- Maintains various databases housing inventory, routing information, and services.
- Prepares sales orders in Root Stock Financial Asset Management System.
- Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle.
- Basic knowledge of commonly used network concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Capable of following instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform various functions of the job.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Effectively communicates information verbally and in writing in a clear and coherent manner.
- Works closely with all internal TNS departments, including Shipping, on current, future, and emergency projects or replacements.
- Provides 24x7 emergency coverage as directed to support all aspects of the TNS Network, to provide quick response, rapid technical assistance, and acquire site access.
- Demonstrates experience in working concurrently on several easy to reasonably complex projects with guidance required.
- Demonstrates the ability to use independent judgment regularly in performance of job responsibilities.
- Performs job well under pressure and manages time effectively.
- Familiar with Root Stock asset management applications and systems.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- CIFF (Certified International Freight Forwarder)
- CML (Certified Master Logistician)
- International Logistics Certificate
- ITIL Transition Service Management experience and/or certification
- Network + Certification
- ITIL Foundations Certification
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Logistics, Telecom services or IT Networking, or 2 years of experience in Asset and/or Logistical operations.
For this role, we anticipate paying $55,500 – $63,500 annually.
