Job Description Overview

Acting as a strategic partner to the Brookfield Residential operating groups across the Mid‑Atlantic Region and the Center‑Led Investments Team, the Vice President, Land (South East), is focused on the strategic leadership and operations of the existing land business and growing the Mid‑Atlantic’s land platform by proactively identifying and evaluating opportunities and leading the successful acquisition of premier residential land assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vision and leadership for all communities within the Region
  • Accountable for all community budgets, cash flows, and schedules
  • Manage internal and external workloads to ensure that the business unit goals, objectives, and results are achieved
  • Accountable for sourcing and delivering land acquisitions across the Mid‑Atlantic markets to meet business plan targets
  • Proactively position Brookfield with preferred access to land acquisition opportunities across the Mid‑Atlantic through both marketed and off‑market channels
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships across all levels of industry participants
  • Promote Brookfield Residential’s capabilities as the premier land partner for large and complex land assets
  • Partner with local operating groups to develop and maintain relationships with local landowners for acquisition opportunities
  • Hold P&L responsibility and be accountable for regional business results
  • Partner closely with regional housing leadership to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Build, lead, and mentor high‑performing land operations and land acquisition teams
  • Set performance expectations and develop next‑generation leaders
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience in senior leadership or executive management level positions in residential real estate and new home industry in the Mid‑Atlantic region
  • Demonstrated success in accomplishing complex, multi‑phase land transactions
  • Ability to solve difficult, complex problems and drive executive leadership decision making
  • Willingness to work through short and unexpected deadlines
  • Strong business sense; accomplishing objectives while considering all aspects of broader business goals
  • Excellent ability to handle sensitive information
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in thought and process
