Job Summary

Google’s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating them to stakeholders.

You equally explain your team's analyses to executives as you discuss technical trade‑offs with engineers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 10 years in Technical Program Management (TPgM) or product management, specifically within infrastructure, construction, or data center environments.
  • 10 years managing the full software development lifecycle for enterprise‑level internal tools or platform solutions for data center or hyperscaler organizations.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership roles, with or without direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience managing cross‑functional or team projects.
  • Experience evaluating and designing organizational structures that optimize for simple and intuitive workflows during periods of hyper‑growth.
  • Experience in business controls, financial systems, facilities operations, or supply chain optimization within a Capital Expenditure (CAPEX)‑heavy industry.
  • Deep understanding of implementing AI‑first internal solutions and managing complex data architectures to drive business automation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence VP‑level stakeholders and align technical roadmaps with broad corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Scale and automate global AI infrastructure operations through innovative technical solutions and data‑driven decision tools, including software, construction technology, and AI‑first solutions.
  • Optimize tooling solutions: conduct market research, solution vetting, business recommendation, and construction, design, finance, accounting to ensure business controls evolve alongside changing program requirements, construction innovation opportunities, and scale.
  • Optimize execution and integration within the tool, partnering proactively with Construction teams to drive innovation and ensure AI‑first solutions and sound data management are prioritized. Develop tooling architecture through systems design, testing, training, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of functional People Managers and Technical Program Managers (TPgMs), providing clear strategic direction, personalized career development, and evaluating simple or intuitive organization design to support scaling.

US: $240,000 – $334,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits.
