• Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver exceptional member experiences
• Experience growing membership and retention through relationship-building and engagement
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating welcoming environments
• Results-driven with the ability to use data and execute effectively
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in membership, sales, or customer experience leadership
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Knowledge of the Alexandria community is a plus

• Drive membership growth and retention through exceptional service and relationship-building
• Lead member tours, onboarding, and engagement efforts
• Monitor membership trends and help improve the member experience
• Collaborate with other branch leaders to strengthen the Y’s role as a community hub

• Foster a culture where every person feels welcomed, valued, and supported
• Connect members to programs and opportunities that support their goals and well-being
• Ensure welcoming and belonging are reflected in all member interactions and experiences

• Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing membership team
• Collaborate with branch leadership to support operational goals and branch initiative

• Mission Advancement:
  Incorporates the Y's mission and values into the organization's vision and strategies. Ensures community engagement; promotes the global nature of the Y. Leads a culture of volunteerism, ensuring engagement, inclusion, and ownership.

  Initiates the development of relationships with influential leaders to impact and strengthen the community. Is recognized as an inspirational community leader who navigates complex political and social circles with ease. Communicates to engage and inspire people within and outside the YMCA. Ensures that a talent management system is in place and executed effectively.

  Possesses penetrating insight and strong strategic and critical thinking skills. Invests resources in well-designed innovation initiatives. Creates a structure to deliver organization-wide results to achieve objectives. Develops and implements stewardship strategies. Determines benchmarks and ensures appropriate leadership to meet objectives.
