Job Description

Step into a high-acuity CVICU assignment in Reston, Virginia supporting a brand-new cardiac surgery program launch. This travel healthcare contract is built around 12-hour nights, delivering 36 hours per week with a schedule that includes 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. You’ll work in a unit where advanced hemodynamic and mechanical support experience matters, including balloon pump and Impella training, along with Hemosphere or Acumen experience preferred.

What makes this role unique is the combination of fresh post–cardiac surgery recovery experience and the expectation of strong readiness with ACLS. Bring 1–2 years working with fresh cardiac surgery patients in a direct primary recovery context, and you’ll be joining a team centered on reliable execution, clear documentation, and tech-forward workflow using Meditech Expanse.
