Position

We’re currently hiring for a Development Analyst — someone who brings fresh thinking, follows through, and knows how to bring people together to get results. Responsibilities
  • Assist with re‑zoning process (if required)
  • Assist with coordinating design professionals
  • Liaison with Property Management to incorporate marketing / management requirements into the project
  • Assist in plan development and coordination
  • Assist with land closings
  • Assist with obtaining permits
  • Assist with obtaining utility verification letters
  • Assist with acquiring financing for developments
  • Manage communication between lenders, investors and WBPC
  • Underwrite new development opportunities using Excel modeling by working with both WBPC’s management and construction teams
  • Conduct due diligence and feasibility analyses including market studies, rent surveys, tax analysis, etc.
  • Compile investment packages for investment committees and internal reviews
  • Assist with marketing the project to potential construction lenders and manage the loan process
  • Assist in contract negotiations and review legal documents
  • Review construction documents and budgets to verify accuracy
  • Assist with daily project management of multiple new developments, including coordinating meetings and calls with consultants, architects, engineers; processing change orders and draws; and maintaining detailed status reports for all projects
  • Assist with keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Maintain and track each project’s progress and effectively report to upper management and investors each week
  • Assist with the entitlement process, zoning, and other activities involved in pre‑development
  • Assist with developing new multifamily and mixed use projects from the initial offer (LOI) through the entitlement and zoning process, through financing, during construction, and coordinating a successful lease‑up with the management team, through disposition
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required;
    Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Architecture or Civil Engineering is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn new computer programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi‑task, managing a minimum of 2–3 projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain schedules for multiple projects
  • Proficiency in math to process change orders, draws, manage budgets and run budget variances
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required, as this position will require 10–20 % travel
