Crescent Hotels & Resorts is thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Banquet Cook at JW Marriott Reston Station, a 28‑story landmark with 247 rooms and expansive meeting spaces. This role is part of our team that delivers luxury service to guests.
What you will be doing- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, production, and portion standards.
- Start food items prepared ahead of time, managing quantities to avoid over‑production.
- Date and rotate all food containers per Crescent standards, ensuring proper temperatures for perishables.
- Check pars for shift use, determine necessary prep, freezer pull, and line set‑up; note out‑of‑stock items or shortages.
- Return unused food to designated storage areas, covering and dating perishables.
- Assist in correcting food cost issues, controlling waste, loss, and usage per Crescent standards.
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, etc.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Must communicate in English. Self‑starting with an even disposition. Meet appearance standards and interact well with guests. Capable of transporting up to 30 lbs. over the course of a shift. Willing to assist co‑workers and be a team player.
