• Demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise and possess a love of fashion

• Technological competency to navigate a computer, iPad or handheld system

• Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for product, lift, carry and move at least 40 lbs
• Open availability of 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate evenings, weekends and holidays

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships
• Assist the management team in building store business
• Support all service enhancers, including active use of Concierge, to build strong relationships
• Serve multiple customers simultaneously, multi-task and/or handle projects at the same time
• Stay aware of fashion trends and seek information about new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color and fashion
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs
• Maximize individual performance through participation in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards
• Complete operational assignments: filling orders, replenishment, recovery, etc.
