Business Travel Sales Manager – Hyatt Regency Reston
The Business Travel Sales Manager is a business travel/leisure travel sales leader who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competency in sales account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel and a keen focus on our airline crew partners.
- Manage current accounts and ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets for strategic account development, including travel to major cities within the market.
- Prepare and present effective proposals and presentations, maintain well-organized documentation and reports, and utilize Hyatt technology systems.
- Coordinate customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.
- Participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings.
- Work closely as a team member with the sales and catering staff and with assigned administrative support staff.
- The position includes an incentive program paid out quarterly based on achievements of assigned goals.

- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of Hotel Sales experience.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training.
- Have completed selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training.
- Demonstrate strategic account and business development skills.
