About the Role
The Business Travel Sales Manager is a business travel/leisure travel sales leader who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competency in sales account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry.
Responsibilities- Sell guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel, and focused on airline crew partners.
- Manage current accounts and ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets for strategic account development.
- Travel to major cities within the market as required.
- Prepare and present effective proposals and presentations.
- Maintain well‑organized documentation, reports, and utilization of Hyatt technology systems.
- Coordinate customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.
- Participate in, and may lead, event meetings, sales meetings, and other staff meetings.
- Work closely as a team member with the sales, catering staff, and assigned administrative support staff.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of 3‑4 years of hotel sales experience.
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
- Preference for completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training.
- Completion of training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated strategic account and business development skills.
