ICF is seeking a Director, DOE Account Lead to advance mission‑driven engagement and strategic partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). This role will build on ICF’s long‑standing position as a trusted advisor, supporting DOE priorities across energy security, grid reliability, affordability, and innovation—while identifying and shaping opportunities to expand ICF’s impact. The position spans engagement across DOE headquarters offices and includes close collaboration with the DOE national laboratory system.
ICF’s DOE portfolio encompasses technical and program management support, technical assistance to external stakeholders, public‑private partnership design and delivery, energy modeling and analytics, policy support, strategic communications, and digital modernization—including enterprise IT, data platforms, and AI‑enabled solutions. These capabilities are delivered through a combination of prime contracts, subcontracts, and national laboratory partnerships.
The DOE Account Lead will play a key role in strengthening and integrating this portfolio, helping ensure ICF continues to grow as a trusted, long‑term partner to DOE offices, national laboratories, and the broader energy innovation ecosystem. This role is designed to enhance ICF’s ability to systematically and proactively engage DOE leadership, expand high‑impact project work, and enable coordinated execution across a complex, cross‑division federal account.
The role offers direct visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape how ICF approaches DOE engagement, account management, and growth. This is a business‑development–focused role with primary responsibility for identifying, shaping, and advancing opportunities that align ICF’s capabilities with DOE priorities and deliver meaningful programmatic impact, alongside sustained account growth. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to translate external engagement into meaningful client impact, sustained partnerships, and growth opportunities aligned with DOE priorities.
The position includes a strong incentive component aligned with overall account performance, impact, and growth.
This role is intended for a proactive, externally focused leader who can independently identify and pursue opportunities, mobilize internal teams, and deliver measurable results in a dynamic and evolving DOE environment.
