What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or interactions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local authorities, and/or onsite contacts as needed.
- Assist with monitoring entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive healthcare spaces to help support authorized access and a professional environment for all occupants.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
