Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as healthcare. • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security‐related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, observing and reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, directing visitors, contractors, and staff according to location protocols and reporting access‑related issues.
• Document incidents, observations, and security‑related activities in written reports, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DCJS license for Virginia only.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
