Nuclear Systems Analyst

As a Nuclear Systems Analyst you will conduct all‑source analysis on nuclear programs to include production facilities, stockpiles, logistics, systems employment, security, and vulnerabilities of facilities and stockpiles. You will perform analysis and monitor supply‑chain vulnerabilities of controlled and dual‑use technologies, materials, and expertise; analyse state adherence and implementation of international and bilateral commitments related to nuclear weapons; conduct applied research on specific intelligence issues pertaining to radiological and nuclear threats to U.S. and allied nations;

generate written intelligence products in accordance with IC Tradecraft Standards; and brief analysis to senior DoD leaders.

You Have:
  • 12+ years of experience with analysis on nuclear proliferation and monitoring and providing supply‑chain vulnerabilities of controlled and dual‑use technologies and materials
  • Experience writing to ICD 203 analytic tradecraft standards
  • Experience conducting all‑source analysis on nuclear programs to include production facilities, stockpiles, logistics, systems employment, security, and vulnerabilities of facilities and stockpiles
  • Experience reviewing analytical products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support
  • Experience with in‑depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge‑management issues across organizational and IC boundaries, and clearly articulating key findings
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and developments in academia that affect tradecraft methodology
  • Ability to define problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Ability to provide analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft, and techniques aligned with nuclear proliferation
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience publishing for the defense intel enterprise
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
