Overview

Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions. Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks. Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data. Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required. Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.

Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.
  • Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
  • Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions.
  • Assist when directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.
  • Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years documented hands‑on general experience in the specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, or the military or commercial equivalent, or documented OJT for T/M/S (type/model/series).
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements.
  • Ability to meet any Government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • FAA A&P License desired.
  • DoD security clearance obtainable and maintainable.
  • Ability to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
  • Physical requirements will be reviewed during interview.
  • Some travel required.
  • Adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company proprietary data.
  • Completed high school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
  • Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down and working in tiring uncomfortable positions.
  • May require lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • May require work within confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Special vision: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust and focus.
  • Work conditions may vary; inclement weather may cause severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc.
  • May be required to work in high noise, fumes, airborne particles, electrical shock hazards.
Licensing, Certification Requirements
  • Formal or Specialized Training/Equivalent.
  • Hazardous Waste Communication Training.
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Training.
  • Security Clearance Awareness Training.
  • CNAF 4790.2 Program Awareness.
  • ISO  Program Awareness.
  • OOMA System Training.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Ground Support Equipment Operator Certified.
  • FAA A&P License desired.
  • ESD Training.
  • Egress System Checkout.
  • Aircraft Confined Space Entrant Training (may be required).
  • Duct diver – Ability to perform services lying down within confined spaces (17”H X 13”W) (may be required).
  • Fuel Surveillance Training.
  • Aircraft Towing Certified.
  • Aircraft Brake Rider Certified.
  • Plane Captain Certified (may be required).
  • Collateral Duty Inspector (may be required).
  • Hydraulic Contamination.
  • Aircraft Turn-up Certification (may be required).
  • Tire and Wheel Certification.
  • Composite Material Repair Certification (may be required).
  • Respiratory Fitted Certification.
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training.
  • Release Aircraft Safe for Flight (may be required).
