Senior AWS Python Developer

Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Python Developer with a strong background in AWS cloud services, scalable application development, and Dev Ops practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust, secure, and scalable applications using modern cloud‑native technologies and development practices.

United States, Virginia, Reston (client site in either Reston, VA or Plano, TX). A hybrid working model is acceptable.

• Develop and deploy applications on AWS Cloud (8+ years of experience).
• Write scalable code in Python and/or Java.
• Build APIs on AWS cloud.
• Implement version control best practices and code deployment in AWS.
• Use CI/CD with Terraform pipelines and Git Lab; build web applications on AWS cloud.
• Script and automate using Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
• Front‑end development with Angular/ADK;
  Type Script is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills with databases such as Dynamo
  
  DB, Postgres, Oracle.
• Application monitoring and tuning; deploy serverless applications; familiarity with AWS services.
• Build automation testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and team retrospectives.
• Utilize Dev Ops tool stack for build, inspect, deploy, test, and promotion of features.
• Respond to trouble/support calls for production applications.
• Create or update documentation (specifications, implementation guides, architecture diagrams).
• Work with product owners and team to determine new features and user stories.
• Familiar with other cloud services like Azure or GCP.
• Experience with AWS Code Commit, Code Build, Code Deploy, Code Pipeline.

• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
• Strong experience in scalable code (Python, Java).
• Experience building API on AWS cloud.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, Terraform, Git Lab, and AWS Code
  * suite.
• Experience in scripting and automation with Python, PHP, Node.js.
• Front‑end development experience (Angular/ADK, Type Script).
• Strong SQL skills (Dynamo
  
  DB, Postgres, Oracle).
• Experience with application monitoring, tuning, and serverless deployment.
• Ability to build automation testing frameworks.
• Participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Estimated range: $95,800.00 – $ (United States).
