Senior Open Text Documentum Developer

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise content management solutions built on the Open Text Documentum platform. This role involves working across the full development lifecycle, from building and integrating APIs to managing platform upgrades and cloud-based deployments. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA and offers a hybrid working model.

• Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise content management solutions built on the Open Text Documentum platform.
• Maintain and enhance Documentum applications, ensuring system reliability and supporting business-critical content workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, managing sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructures.

• 7+ years of experience with Open Text Documentum and ECM solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Open Text Documentum components such as Content Server, D2 (Config, Classic, Smart View), xPlore, CTS, and DFC.
• Solid understanding of Documentum architecture, object model, and security concepts.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs using Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in Java and Python with a good grasp of object‑oriented design.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Intelli

• Experience working with application servers (Tomcat/J2EE) and relational databases.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture.
• Exposure to unit testing, code quality practices, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.) and troubleshooting cloud environments.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Capable of managing priorities independently and staying organized in a fast‑paced environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
