Job SummaryIn this role, you will provide technical leadership in developing back‑end service software, using C++ for network programming and designing large‑scale distributed, mission‑critical systems; build high‑performance concurrent server‑side applications with Golang; debug code with GDB and Delve; build and optimize SQL databases for low‑latency high‑throughput systems; manage projects in Jira; use Git and Jenkins for code management; develop distributed systems; leverage Linux OS tools for troubleshooting;
support ongoing development and customize current applications; assist with software update processes; roll out releases; analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements; monitor and evaluate competitive applications; review literature, patents, and practices; collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs;
work with QA to verify specifications; guide and mentor junior engineers; and are eligible to work remotely one or more days per week.
- Provide technical leadership in developing back‑end service software.

- Support applications under development and customize current applications.
- Assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll out software releases.
- Analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications.
- Document all development activity.
- Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products.
- Review literature, patents, and current practices related to the solution of assigned projects.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
- Conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
- Guide and mentor junior‑level engineers.
Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and a total of seven (7) years experience performing back‑end service software development, including:
- Seven (7) years experience using C++ for network programming, designing distributed large‑scale, mission‑critical systems, debugging with GDB, using Git and Jenkins, developing distributed systems, and leveraging Linux OS tools for troubleshooting.
- Five (5) of those years include building high‑performance concurrent server‑side applications using Golang and building/optimizing SQL databases for low‑latency, high‑throughput.
- Experience using Jira for project management and issue tracking.
