Job SummaryLead the development of software and web applications that meet business and user needs, integrate new systems, emphasize scalability and security, and improve performance. Mentor and provide technical training to build a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of innovative software and web applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user requirements.
- Integrate new systems seamlessly with existing infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and continuous performance improvement.
- Mentor team members and provide technical training, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful application integration and advocate best practices in software development.
- Participate in or lead peer programming sessions, design sprints, or prototyping sessions.
- Create, maintain, and make comprehensive documentation accessible for all development activities.
- Monitor application performance metrics rigorously, using data to guide enhancements and ensure delivery aligns with project goals.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to internal stakeholders and external partners, effectively communicating complex concepts.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to confirm applications meet rigorous testing standards and fulfill technical requirements.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Work nights and weekends, with variable schedules as necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- 7–10 years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering related fields.
- Strong software engineering background with experience in Go and Python.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and production operations.
- Experience designing and operating large‑scale cloud‑native platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS or OCI cloud services.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Git Ops, and deployment automation.
- Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
- Strong system design, troubleshooting, and architectural decision‑making skills.
- Managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms serving multiple engineering organizations.
- Building Platform‑as‑a‑Product initiatives.
- Experience with Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability solutions.
- Experience with multi‑cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Leading platform standardization and migration initiatives.
- Previous experience mentoring engineers or serving as technical lead.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science or related field preferred. Applicants with a combination of coursework and extensive related professional experience will also be considered.
