Science Logic is redefining IT operations for the modern enterprise. Our AIOps platform empowers organizations to achieve Autonomic IT — where systems are self‑healing, self‑optimizing, and seamlessly aligned with business outcomes. We help enterprises and service providers gain unified visibility across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, automate workflows, and unlock performance at scale.
We’re accelerating digital transformation through the power of automation, AI, and analytics — giving IT and business leaders the tools to deliver superior customer experiences, drive efficiency, and innovate with confidence.
About the RoleWe’re seeking a Senior AI Platform Integration Engineer to join the Skylar initiative — Science Logic’s next‑generation AI platform. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting scalable internal APIs and integration services that connect partner engineering systems to Skylar’s intelligent automation layer.
The ideal candidate is a strong backend and integration engineer with experience building secure, enterprise‑grade APIs and distributed services in complex environments. You’ll collaborate closely with platform, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to deliver reliable integration patterns, scalable authentication and authorization solutions, and high‑quality developer experiences across the Skylar ecosystem.
If you enjoy solving problems at the intersection of APIs, identity systems, distributed platforms, and AI‑enabled applications, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a rapidly evolving platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and integration services that support Skylar’s AI and automation capabilities.
- Contribute to integration standards and best practices for how internal teams expose data and services to the AI platform, including authentication, versioning, schema contracts, and access control.
- Develop APIs with token‑based authentication (JWT/OAuth 2.0) and endpoint‑level authorization controls designed for both user‑facing and automated workloads.
- Support the implementation and evolution of Skylar’s RBAC model, including role definitions, permission structures, and policy enforcement patterns across a multi‑tenant platform.
- Assist with enterprise SSO integrations using SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC), including integration with identity providers such as Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity.
- Partner with ATLAS (OTEL Platform), SPACE (Core Platform & Infrastructure), and Data Platform teams to align on API contracts, data semantics, and integration requirements.
- Implement audit logging and observability practices for authenticated access, authorization events, and system activity across the integration layer.
- Contribute to identity‑aware request routing and session context propagation through Skylar’s platform infrastructure.
- Design and maintain containerized integration services running on Kubernetes, including secure secret and configuration management practices.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering documentation efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.
- 5+ years of backend or integration engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong experience developing production services using Python (FastAPI, Flask) and/or Go.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise APIs and integration services.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization systems, including RBAC models and multi‑tenant access patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise SSO protocols such as SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC), including integrations with providers like Okta, Azure AD, or Ping Identity.
- Strong understanding of API security, schema validation, and data integration patterns across distributed systems.
- Experience participating in technical design reviews and contributing to engineering documentation such as RFCs or ADRs.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern CI/CD practices.
