Software Engineer, Backend Developer

Job Description

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Software Engineer to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems‑level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

• Update, repair, modify and expand existing computer programs.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

• Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development lifecycle experience.
• 2+ years of experience in developing with C#, .NET, Python, Java, C++ or
  
  C.
• Experience with distributed programming models.
• Experience creating, developing, delivering, deploying, and maintaining online services.
• Experience with building pipelines with Azure Data Factory, creating subscriptions and PowerBI.
• Ability to provide on‑call support.

• TS/SCI with poly is required for this role.
• Active US passport required.

$103,800 — $192,300 USD for locations:
California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, District of Columbia, and Cleveland city.
