CGI is seeking a Senior Open Text Documentum Application Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise content management solutions in a cloud based environment. This role is responsible for developing and supporting Documentum applications, building RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Framework, and ensuring reliable integrations across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with AWS services, modern software development practices, and Agile methodologies while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high quality solutions.
Experience with platform upgrades, troubleshooting complex production issues, and optimizing enterprise content management applications is essential.
Location:
Client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Develop and support Open Text Documentum applications, build RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Framework, ensure reliable integrations across enterprise platforms, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and maintain secure and scalable solutions.
Qualifications- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Open Text Documentum applications.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Open Text Documentum (Content Server, D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View, Brava, CTS, xPlore, and DFC Client).
- Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise content management applications.
- Solid understanding of Documentum architecture, object models, security, and platform migrations/upgrades.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in Java and Python for enterprise application development.
- Experience working in AWS environments (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ALB, SSM) and the AWS SDK.
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud deployments, review AWS configurations, security policies, and application logs.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, Tomcat/J2EE, and relational database technologies.
- Knowledge of software architecture, object‑oriented design principles, and common design patterns.
- Familiarity with unit testing, code quality practices, deployment automation, vulnerability management, and application monitoring.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams with active participation in sprint ceremonies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- AWS Certification (Associate or Professional)

- Java Certification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
