Delivery Driver

Job Description

• Makes deliveries of pizza and other items to residential and commercial locations on assigned routes.
• Inspects vehicle before deliveries.
• Reviews deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.
• Maintains high standards of customer service during high-volume, fast-paced operations.
• Communicates clearly and positively with management and team members.
• Provides excellent customer service to encourage repeat customers, delivering professionally and promptly.
• Maintains ongoing communication with store and dispatcher to prioritize efficient routing.
• Handles currency and credit transactions quickly and accurately.
• Follows procedures for safe food preparation, assembly and presentation.
• Builds loyal customers through friendly interactions and consistent appreciation.
• Resolves complaints promptly and professionally.
• Takes initiative to find extra tasks when scheduled duties are complete.
• Assembles and folds boxes, affixing labels and promotional materials as needed.
• Assists with prep.
• Reads order slips or receives verbal instructions to prepare orders according to specifications, often making several different orders simultaneously.
• Cleans, stocks and restocks workstations and display cases.
• Adheres to all quality standards, principles, guidelines and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Must possess a valid state driving license.
• Must use a properly maintained, licensed and street‑legal vehicle capable of driving upwards of 100 miles per day.
• Must maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
• Must be able to pass applicable Company Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and background checks.
• Must possess a cell phone to use for calling customers.
• Must be capable of reading a map, locating addresses and interpreting GPS directions within the designated delivery area.
• Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to take and process orders.
• Must have superb ability to multi‑task.
• Must be able to function in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Must be able to adjust to changing priorities.
• Must work independently and as part of a team.
• Must add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly, and be able to make correct monetary change.
