Job SummaryThe Financial Advisor (FA) is a three‑year program that provides financial planning guidance and sells investment management solutions to TD Wealth clients. The FA acts as the central point of contact, develops relationships, and maximizes client value by aligning investment recommendations with each client’s goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive financial planning and investment recommendations that align with client goals.
- Ensure all new clients receive a complete onboarding experience, including discovery, needs analysis, introductions to the client servicing team, and completion of required documentation.
- Partner with internal teams to generate leads and promote client acquisition.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain an annual client review (ACR) agenda that focuses on the client’s overall wealth needs and proactive outreach.
- Serve as the primary contact for TD Wealth client relationships, coordinating between TD Bank and retail/wealth affiliates as necessary.
- Implement a differentiated service model that meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals while deepening wallet share and suggesting appropriate wealth solutions.
- Identify referral opportunities to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in financial advice, planning, and investment sales.
- Current SIE, Series7, and Series
63 licenses; L&H and Series
66 (or equivalent) required or ability to obtain within 90 days. - Strong ability to self‑direct and plan activities to achieve sales and referral goals.
- Advanced knowledge of wealth products and services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Willingness to travel and commute within the assigned market and territory.
- Proficiency in wealth‑management business‑development techniques and experience with retail and small‑business banking clients.
- Consultative sales experience and proven ability to build effective partnerships across departments.
- Track record of achieving sales goals.
- Continuous sedentary work, use of standard office equipment, and occasional lifting or carrying (
