- Make the first impression to our customers as they enter the branch, warmly greeting them and guiding them to the colleague who can best support their needs.
- Engage in constant customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous customer service in person and via telephone.
- Serve customers by supplying them with information on the Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs.
- Ensure that customers feel cared for while performing duties that require a high level of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks, and other financial transactions.
- Make decisions alongside the immediate supervisor, which may become more extensive as the position gains in knowledge and experience.
- Work closely with our training team and your branch team to learn about these responsibilities and complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
- Sales and service-oriented personality.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete our training program.
Experience:
- Candidates should have 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
Compensation for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, education, and internal equity. The salary range posted reflects the company's good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting; actual compensation may vary. In addition to base salary, certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation, including commissions, incentive awards or stipends.
