Position: Construction Superintendent (Temple Division)

Job Summary

Headwaters Construction Company is seeking a Construction Superintendent for its Temple Division. In general, the Construction Superintendent coordinates operations and oversees workers and laborers at a construction site, and is ultimately responsible for the supervision of the physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. The superintendent directs the day‑to‑day work activities at the job site with the goal of having subcontractors deliver quality work at the lowest possible cost, in the shortest possible time, and in the safest possible manner.

The superintendent’s duty is to ensure a constant flow of personnel and materials, plan the work well in advance so that the proper craftsmen are in place, and secure the specified materials. The ideal candidate is well‑organized, hands‑on, and values safety above everything else.

What You Need
  • 1 or more years of experience as a Superintendent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management Preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
  • Advanced understanding of trades
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate and lead effectively
  • Ambitious, active, and hardworking
Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage a three‑week rolling schedule
  • Conduct and attend weekly coordination meetings
  • Guarantee standards are met for quality construction
  • Motivate and lead subcontractor tradesmen
  • Provide expertise regarding construction methods
  • Generate and monitor a punch list for each subcontractor
  • Maintain a safe construction site at all times
