Position overview:The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s teaching mission with primary teaching responsibilities in freshman and sophomore courses with the possibility of upper-division courses within their area of disciplinary expertise. Course assignments will include general chemistry and may also include discipline-specific courses that align with departmental needs and the candidate’s background.
Summer teaching opportunities may be available for additional compensation.
Lecturers teach four courses per semester and are integral members of the department’s instructional team. The department is committed to delivering high-quality, engaging undergraduate education and values innovative, evidence-based teaching practices that promote student learning and success. These practices may include active learning strategies, the use of modern laboratory instrumentation, and technology-enhanced instruction.
