Are you an entrepreneurial transportation engineering manager ready to make your mark with the support to chase clients, expand service lines, and collaborate with a network of transportation peers?
We are seeking a driven and client-facing Senior Transportation Engineer that is ready to take on a Group Leader/Director role to continue to anchor this organization’s services and growth throughout Idaho and the Rocky Mountain Region. Backed by private equity, this 2000+ person multi-disciplinary organization has a dynamic and growing team of 500+ transportation professionals nationwide. They offer the agility of a local entrepreneurial team with robust resources and work-sharing capabilities as a large national firm.
In this role, you will lead technical design, mentor and grow a team, and spearhead business development. You will be given the autonomy to run with new ideas, expand service lines, and truly put your thumbprint on the group's success.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will be dynamically split across three main pillars of success:
- Project & Financial Management:
Lead transportation engineering projects from inception to completion. Manage group financials, project profitability, and ensure high-quality delivery. - Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Manage, mentor, and inspire our engineering staff. Foster strong team camaraderie and build a culture of technical excellence. - Business Development & Client Relations:
Drive growth by leveraging your existing network. Secure new project wins and independently pursue backlog opportunities, supported by the firm’s BD and leadership teams.
- 10+ years of progressive design and engineering experience, culminating in a managerial/leadership role.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
- Working knowledge and established relationships transportation agencies in surrounding areas including Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and/or Ada County Highway District (ACHD)
- A proven professional in transportation engineering who has successfully transitioned into project management and client-facing business development.
Highly competitive compensation and rewards package designed to incentivize growth includes:
- Base Salary: $160,000 to $210,000 (Commensurate with experience)
- Yearly discretionary bonus and profit-sharing potential
