Automotive Controller – Rexburg,  | Family-Owned Dealership | $120K-$140K

A stable, family-owned new-car dealership in the Rexburg, Idaho market is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to lead its accounting office. The current Controller is stepping back after many successful years with the company, creating an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on dealership Controller looking for a long-term home. This is a great opportunity for a proven Controller with a stable background in new-car dealership accounting who takes pride in accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Stable store and the Comptroller will report directly to the long-term General Manager.

The Automotive Controller hired will be responsible for maintaining clean, accurate financials, managing the month-end close process, preparing and submitting financial statement to the factory, and ensuring the accounting office operates efficiently while developing and supporting the team. Clean books and established team in place. Dealer track experience is a big plus, but not mandatory.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting office
• Complete month-end close and prepare financial statements
• Submit factory financial statements accurately and on time
• Maintain clean books and ensure financial accuracy
• Oversee reconciliations, schedules, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and OEM requirements
• Foster an organized, accountable, and team-oriented accounting office
• Be a hands-on leader and put in the time necessary to ensure the job is done correctly.
• Communicate effectively with department managers across the dealership.

• Strong dealership accounting knowledge and month-end close experience
• Experience preparing OEM financial statements
• Hands-on leadership style with excellent organizational skills
• Dealer track experience is a big plus
