Job Description
Responsibilities and qualifications for this role are described below.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret schematics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and work instructions.
- Place and solder (hand or machine) components (resistors, capacitors, ICs) onto PCBs.
- Perform visual inspections, trimming leads, and basic rework.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and maintain a clean workspace.
- Operate machinery like pick-and-place machines, stencils, and reflow oven.
- Technical
Skills:
Soldering (SMT/THT), component identification, schematic reading, basic electronics knowledge. - Certifications:
IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications are often required. - Soft Skills:
Dexterity, attention to detail, good vision, focus, ability to follow instructions. - Education:
Often requires a high school diploma, technical certificate, or relevant training.
